Alignment based yoga at Haw Creek Commons
Wednesdays 9:00-10:00am
This class incorporates many classic Yoga poses with focus on aligning the joints to build body awareness and to promote mindfulness. Rachel uses her keen observation skills to guide students in mastering postures with out causing pain in joints. Participants do need to be able to get up and down from the floor and be able to perform downward facing dog .
Chair Yoga at Wellspring
Thursdays 9:00-10:00am
This class is designed for seniors who have balance issues, decreased stamina, or difficulty getting on and off of the floor. The class will include breath awareness, functional movements, balance work and yoga poses with the chair as a prop to support alignment and balance. Please register for each class to ensure your spot.
